The Stella Maris Concert Choir will perform a Remembrance Day concert in 2016 on the last Sunday before Remembrance Day. The choir began what has become a semi-annual tradition almost six years ago. The concerts, accompanied by a slide show and short readings attempt to evoke a sense of respect and thankfulness for all those who have sacrificed their lives in the cause of peace. As has been our tradition in past years, all military veterans are invited to attend the concert for free. Funds raised are committed to charity, especially towards children who are suffering the effects of poverty or war in more unfortunate parts of the world.

This year's concert will contain a number of new selections by the choir in addition to favourites from past years.

The concernt will be performed on Sunday, November 6th at 3pm, at Good Shepherd Church.

Our 2015  annual Christmas Concert was highly successful. Once again, we were honoured to garner the loyal support of hundreds of parishioners and those from the local community who almost filled Good Shepherd Church. The enthusiastic audience seemed to thoroughy enjoy the performance. Several thousand dollars was raised for the choir's charities.

A number of new musical selections were featured and the choir was joined by Our Lady of Mercy Childrens Choir. The local newspaper, the Peach Arch News provided an overview of the concert by reporter Alex Browne.

PAN Christmas 2015

Our Music Director, Trudi Stammer, has selected a number of brand new arrangements for our 2014 concert. As always, you can expect they will be joyful, inspirational and melodic. Back this year is "Breath of Heaven", a beautiful arrangement by our Accompanist, Henri Lorieau. Last year, Soloist, Evon Olsen performed beautifully with back-up from the choir. It had to be a hi-light of the concert.

Stay tuned for more information on this year's concert.  Meanwhile, below is a flashback to last years performance. Our local newspaper, the Peace Arch News, and particularly, Arts Reporter Alex Browne, is so good to us in helping to promote our concerts. Below, is Alex's article which appeared a few days prior to the concert.

Good Shepherd Church was filled and by all accounts the choir enjoyed one of it's most successful Christmas Concerts ever, on December 14th, 2014. Performing a number of new works along with favourites from past years, the choir received a very heartwarming response from the audience and raised more than four thousand dollars for charity. Perhaps the very large and enthusiastic audience had something to do with this very favourable advance piece in the local Peace Arch News by reporter Alex Browne. Thanks again, Alex for your great work in covering our community's artistic and cultural events.

 "Music at the Beach"

We had a wonderful concert in partnership with the Anglican All Saints Community Church in aid of the local Food Bank. We raised $6000 and several hundred pounds of food. Thanks to a very generous gift of $5000, from Vern and Helga Hoing, the Food Bank will be able to assist many of those in need within our community.
